13TH ANNUAL MARTIN LUTHER KING COMMUNITY CELEBRATION
Young Voices: Visions of Justice from New Generations
Monday, January 18 @ 5:30- First Presbyterian Church
This year we had a beautiful constellation of young voices sharing their wisdom and music. Presenters included Jaime Bodden, Director of the Shawano Menominee Counties Public Health Department, and Dan Terrio, educator, actor, community organizer from Bowler. We also heard from kids and teens about their visions of justice in our neighborhood and the world.
Our musicians included Menominee rapper, Gary D, and folksinger and encourager across the generations, Skip Jones.
We again enjoyed dinner conversation and soups from various countries and cultures.
Next year, on the third Monday of January, bring your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers.
All are welcome!
