Holy Communion
Because we believe that this sacrament is a gift from God, anyone who has been baptized into the Body of Christ is welcome at the table. You do not need to ask permission first – only trust in Jesus’ promises. Holy Communion is celebrated at services on the first Sunday of each month and on the Wednesday following the first Sunday of the month. On Wednesdays we celebrate The Lord’s Supper by intinction, as we dip the bread into the cup. On Sundays, we usually serve the sacrament in trays at your seat.
Baptism
Baptism is the other sacrament celebrated in the Presbyterian Church (USA). At the parents request, we celebrate baptism for children as a sign of holy grace which surrounds us always. We may also celebrate an infant dedication, thanking God for these precious ones who may be confirmed later. It is joy for us to celebrate the baptism of youth and adults as well when they join this congregation if they have not been baptized previously.
